The World is Looking at USA to Lead the Fight Against Novel CoronaVirus

President Trump won the first round of fight against the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), by restricting visitors from China. It worked very well, but as already said on the internet, the "Virus" does not need "Visa or Passport", and has multiple routes, at its disposal.
The president appointed the Vice President as the person in-charge for tackling the problem. This again may be seen as a good move, and the necessity to panic, is not expected from a head of the state. The experience of the Vice President of USA for this job was criticized, but it should be noted, that the virus got 50 million people on lockdown in china, and created a chilling shiver, for 250 million people. So, honestly speaking, there is no person readily available, who has executive experience, in dealing with such a massive onslaught.
The speed at which this virus can spread, makes it a lingering threat, even after a cure (drug) is discovered, and even after a vaccine is available. The need of the hour is a collective fight against the virus, not just in and by USA, but by all countries in the world. It is beyond the means of many countries, to fight this menace by themselves, and many are yet to understand the full potential and scope of the disease. The chinese technology, and highly controlled social structure, may have immensely helped its fight, but these are hard to be found, in the rest of the world.
The world is simply looking at USA, to lead the fight against the novel coronavirus (Covid-19). USA has the technology, money, resources, and strong executive power, to fight the disease. The following are possibly a few suggestive guidelines, for fighting Covid-19.
- Information Technology Platform: The very first requirement is an "Information Technology Platform", for registering new cases, identifying people exposed to infection from the contacts of identified patients, and discovering the contacts of contacts, etc.
- Robotic Treatment Platforms: Robots can be sent to perform investigation services, like recording blood pressure, scanning etc, which can be coupled to cloud services, for disease diagnosis. Robots can also be sent to dispense medicines, and food.
- Tele-Medicine & Dedicated WebSites for Treatment Information: Tele-medicine and dedicated websites, for the dissemination of treatment plans in native languages, must be available.
- Self Diagnostic Kits: Self diagnostic kits could reduce a lot of burden on hospitals.
- Administrative Services: Protective gear and equipment for moving people from residential locations, to quarantine locations / hospitals , and back again.
- Environmentally Safe Cleansing Agents: The best possible cleansing agent (which is environmentally safe) to eradicate the virus in atmosphere, could be a challenge by itself. It may not be feasible or safe to fume large cities. UV filters could clean indoors, and this could be explored, and mandated if feasible.
In a global economy, it is possible that many industries could suffer in many ways, and this virus could trigger an industrial meltdown. Here again, the troubles, could slowly spiral upwards, and an astute global planning is necessary, to prevent chaotic breakdowns, and losses. Health of course is Wealth.
